Description: December 1994. PENTAX K1000 and PENTAX Lens Zoom 40-80mm. F 5,6. Shutter Speed 1/60 sec. Kodak BW Film T-MAX 400 ISO. Print on ILFORD Paper RC Multigrade DeLuxe. Scanner: EPSON Perfection 3200. Place: ERICE close to Trapani, Sicily, Italy. I was there with my wife on honeymoon. We had never been there before and I suggest YOU to visit this lovely place. "FOG" is password but it helps to manage "dreaming city-scapes". Well...I put my camera on tripod and while looking for the right compo, the "black-shadow lady" entered into my viewfinder from left. I shooted. A simple translation of title is: "Moving and Panning of a Woman".

Ero qua 3 giorni fa... Ma non sono riuscita a riportare foto cosi tanto "moody", non facile in a città cosi tanto turistica.
Adoro il mistero che libera questa foto. Mi piace questa visione di Erice, cosi tanto differente dell'immagine che le cartoline ne danno.

Giulio Cesare 57 replied:

Grazie per le tue parole.

"Derive happiness in oneself from a good day's work, from illuminating the fog that surrounds us Henri Matisse once said and that she does. Dressed in black and hooded she nevertheless illuminates your nicely composed photo and lifts it to a higher plane. One can easily imagine her coming from work on her way home to a nice and warm fireplace. Despite the fluid fog your photo has a tactile feel mainly because of your very good b&w.

Giulio Cesare 57 replied:

Thanks for your kind words.

Steadiness by the well definided leg , for me it dramatically marks, and contrast with the eterial of the fog, like a balance betwin the movement and energy of steady action, regards Giulio..and Thanks for the description ;)
