Description: Date: 1984. Camera: Pentax ME Super. Lens: Pentax Zoom 40-80mm. Yellow filter mounted on front-lens. F 5,6. Shutter Speed: 1/250. Manual Centre/Weighted Exposure measured on face. Natural light in open space. No work in study. Dark background was due to a deep room whose walls were black and sooty. (It was and it still is a wood-burning oven for cooking). In dark-room I used my hands (under the light of enlarger) to make a darker background so to better split face from black-back wall. ILFORD Film HP5 (400ASA) processed in Kodak TMAX developer . Print on paper ILFORD Multigrade IV RC De Luxe Pearl, processed in Ilford Multigrade developer. I scanned the original using an Epson Perfection 3200 plane scanner.“It useless to say that I still use and prefer (I’m not alone) analogic BW…even if it’s difficult to find films, papers, developers on the market. It is not useful to kill traditional photography!”

I miei sinceri complimenti Giulio.

Gosto muito deste retrato, Guilio. Um registo diferente do habitual mas de uma beleza incomparável....

Thanks a lot Sofia
