Description: August 2007. A hot day after a summer-storm. Camera on monopod :Pentax LX. Lens: Pentax zoom 40-80mm. Film: Kodak Elite Chrome 100 ISO. F: 11- 1/60 sec. Scanner: Epson Perfection 3200. Place: SS Cassia. Close to San Quirico d’Orcia. About cross-road of Gallina. (Siena-Italia). This open-space and monotony of rolling chaffs attracted my attention. Warm-tones are due to sunlight of late afternoon. I like these hue and saturation because are a “trade-mark” of Val d’Orcia. Cotton shaped clouds gave a special feeling to this landscape. Val d’Orcia is magical: sometimes it happens that is possible to create a compo with only a few subjects and colours, IMHO! PS. I set iso-speed at 125 ISO to underexposure the scene a little bit, so to have a deeper blu sky.

nice picture. The only drawback is technical quality of the picture.

Che colori. Molto bella Giulio. ciao

Grazie....anche se spolvera un pò troppo. Anche in questo caso come per la precedente posso dire che negli originali l'effetto è molto molto ridotto.

L'enfasi dei colori è la dominante dello scatto.

Very nice, I like the analogy between the rolling chaffs and numerous passing clouds, and when you think about that, suddenly the scene doesn't look so static anymore :)
